What is the difference between a low-impact aerobics and secondary schools?
Of the different online calories burned calculators is an option for a high impact or low impact aerobics. I guess I never really understood the difference and calories burned considered are very different. Thank you!
high impact aerobics means you awareness and lower your arms in rapid succession (Like doing jumping jacks) or running in place or bouncing or jumping. The idea is to bring your heart rate quite quickly then keep it there for a period of time. It can be hard on the knee and ankle, especially if you're out of shape and or have prior injuries to joints. There is also the risk of accident twist and tear of a ligament or tendon. with low impact you keep your feet on the ground and not near the side or front and back and when you lift your knees, it is slower and you softer touch to mitigate the impact on the joint. In a low impact, you raise your arms when the lower body is not very engaged and, in general you keep your arms when you do legs. The high impact aerobics trick is not to work so hard that the training becomes "anaerobic" (meaning without oxygen). If you work too hard, it becomes ineffective. We must find the correct target heart rate and work in this area to get the maximum benefit. The wisdom of fitness is to incorporate 30 seconds of anaerobic training in a session high impact and I made it to see if it actually has an effect, but I have not noticed any significant changes.
