Lambdon Dragon
In ancient times dragons, a young boy lived in the Northumberland region of northern England. This lazy boy enjoyed fishing in the River. One day he made several fine fish for supper and a very unpleasant looking worm. On the way back in the afternoon, Lambdon admired his catch and threw the snake creature inedible to the village well. He continued on the house and thought no more about it.
Years passed, as they always do. The snake-dragon grew up in the bottom of the village well. Lambdon has increased, too, and for the pleasure of all, it has grown beyond its indolent ways. Lambdon become a fine young man and, like all young men did in those days, he went to fight in the Crusades. All this time, the monster continued to grow in the bottom.
One day, the demon from the pit and slipped into the River. There, he grew bigger and bigger and became the terror of the countryside, feasting on all the unfortunate creatures who crossed his path. The dragon has ravaged the village and finally made its way to Lambdon Hall. With the instructions of the chief steward, the household has been prepared. The tray was the largest set in the courtyard of the castle and filled to the brim with milk. The dragon drank every last drop of milk slipped out and satisfied, to return the next day. The trough was filled all day and, if the snake has not been filled with enough milk, the creature tore trees from the earth and go wild with through the area, devouring all living things it encounters, creating chaos and sow fear among the inhabitants.
In this way, the castle is visited daily by the dragon and the country continued to suffer for many years until Lambdon return from the Crusades. Horrified, he recognized immediately that the devastation in the countryside has been caused by the worm ugly it made in the river many years before. Lambdon swore he would rid the castle of the terrible host and restore peace in his homeland.
But Lambdon had a plan. He went straight away of the dealer and arranged for a new suit of armor. The new suit of armor was scattered all about the blades and spikes that comes out as coat of a hedgehog. And in this new suit of armor that walked Lambdon to face the dragon, his sword shining in the morning sun.
The dragon was furious that there was no milk and turned his anger right on the knight who faces the courtyard. Lambdon hit on the head of the monster with his sword, but the crafty and malicious worm wound his tail around the legs of the knight, then around his chest, and the intention squeezing the life out of a valiant warrior.
The dragon and snake hurry hurry, the packaging of its long coils tighter and tighter around the knight. But the most difficult of the Dragon tightened around Lambdon, more tips have started to rip into the flesh of the monster. Spikes sank more deeper and blood spurted. In pain and anger, the dragon roared its rage and wrapped tightly around Lambdon until ultimately he had torn on the blades and spikes in the armor.
By grasping the dying dragon weakened Lambdon beheaded the creature with a strong gust of his sword. All of the castle servants rushed into the yard and started pulling the pieces of the fearsome dragon terrorized them for so many years. With Lambdon in mind, the pieces of flesh of the dragon have been conducted at the rushing river and thrown in the bulk of the current, where they have been swept away forever.
