The Excitement Versus Challenges of Dating A Pro Baseball Player
Watching the playoffs and World Series recently, I found myself wondering what sort of lifestyle a girl would have if she were dating one of the Texas Rangers. I mean, aside from the money and fame, I was thinking about all the traveling I’d get to do.
I know the media highlights aberrant behavior, but I bet some of the players are just decent, regular guys.
I think it would be exciting, all the travel and fine dining which must accompany the team and general environment. I love to tour new cities and locations. Baseball players have hectic schedules, but there are opportunities for someone to explore a bit. Assuming we were a serious couple, it would be fun to adventure together. On the down side, it might get boring sitting in a hotel room while he practices or signs autographs. From what I understand, even wives of baseball players are definitely behind the scenes.
Like most things, I bet it would be what you made of it. I think it would be fun to be in a dating relationship with a celebrity, but I’d be cautious and anticipate what I perceive to be inevitable heartbreak. I’m not the type to take to a guy lightly, and I have a career. So the more I think about it, I really couldn’t travel all over the country for every game and event he was in.
I can say that if I didn’t have a career and was content letting someone provide for me, a pro baseball player would be an ideal boyfriend. Assuming it was a serious relationship, I’d definitely let someone pay to cart me around with him everywhere. At any rate, it’s worth pondering the excitement versus the challenges.
