Lithium Amp
Sub and Amp question?
So pretty soon I’m gonna be running four subwoofers (2 memphis PR. and 2 memphis M1′s) Is there any one amp that would power all four or would I need to use two. Also I know that I probably need to step up to a lithium battery. Do I need a red top,green or yellow?
To run 4 subwoofers you need a class d 2 ch amplifier, class d are more efficient than regular AB class amplifiers. You can get a 2 ch amp to power 4 amps by connecting them on parallel @ 2 ohms. Just make sure the amplifiers is stable @ 2 ohms and that is powerful enpugh to run your subs, add the total rated power in rms of the subs and macth it with the output power of the amplifier.
My personal recommendation is to get 4 identical subs for better performance.
