Best Major League Infield?

In your opinion, what major league team has the best overall infield – offensive and defensive? Some contenders (but please do not limit yourself to these results): Rays: Longoria, Aybar, Pena and Zobrist Zobrist experiencing a career year and Longoria is already a star. Yankees: Arod, Jeter, Cano, Tex. 2 Potential MVP candidates in Tex and Jeter and Cano has made a comeback in recent years of poor performance. Phillies: Howard, Utley, Rollins, Feliz After slow start, Rollins and Utley become clutch could be the MVP third in the infield if Pujols staggers.

I choose the Texas Rangers. Michael Young was a solid fielder everywhere you turn in the infield. He won Gold Glove at SS last year, but I moved to 3B this year. It is also a hit machine 200. Elvis Andrus hit for decent average with good speed and is a pretty good fielder as the Rangers moved a shortstop glove gold over Michael Young 3B to make room for Andrus and his excellent range. Ian Kinsler is a good fielder and put up some nice numbers to hit as well. It was MVP candidate last year, as Rollins has had some problems avg this year but should rebound. Hank Blalock to first base is the weak point in the field inside, but I do not think his mediocrity behind the rest of the infield in the bottom, the other teams. I do not think Feliz is better or worse than Blalock, and the misfortunes of the entry into service immediately before the Yankees outside the Gold Glover Teixeira really hurt. Tampa infield is good, and despite the collapse of two long Pena and Longoria this year, and time lost by Barlett due to injury, I consider them up there with Texas for # 1. I also examined Angels for first place, but its hard to know hot to take into account their trio of infielders in the middle, which are all good players. Their angle infielder Morales and Figgins may not be Bignami guys, but they are as good as any cornerback duo in the majors. Note: Bartlett's, not for Aybar SS on the shelves.
