what’s the best treatment for fluid build-up in the knee – caused by high impact athletic activity?
I’ve had artheoscopic surgery to clean out loose cartiledge. Since then, high impact sport activity, such as jogging, causes fluid to accumulate at the bottom of my knee.
Hey Bert,
unfortunately the only thing you can do is go to your Orthopedic surgeon or E.R Dr. and have you knee drained (aspirated). The longer you wait the more dangerous it becomes because not only will there be an excessive amount of stress for the knee but this causes premature joint destruction. Lastly there is a strong possibility of infection in the knee joint if left untreated that can extend to the bone. Take this very seriously and good luck.
