How does a jeweler size a gold ring?
Please explain the process of enlarging or decreasing the size.
They check the size needed for your finger. If the downsize it they take a peice of gold out, if they upsize it they put a peice of gold in. To do either they have to cut the ring, once thier done they gold solder it together, file, polish and voila. If it needs a tiny size up sometimes they use thier sizeing stick and gently hammmer it to the size required.
