Let us see the history of skateboarding before we go into learning how to skateboard tricks. Skateboarding tricks was first invented in the year 1950. It was when all the California surfers had the idea of trying to surf the streets. It is really not known who first made the skateboard but it seemed that many people had come across with the same idea of making the skateboard. At that time though many people had invented the skateboard nothing creative was invented at that time.
Initially skateboards were made with wooden boxes or boards with the roller wheels below the skates. At the initial stages many who tried working on the skates just kept falling down but still people liked to go skating. The boxes were soon turned into planks. Companies then started creating boards which were layers of pressed wood. This is what is being used these days. During 1963, skateboarding and learn how to do skateboard tricks became very much popular and there were companies like Jake’s, Hobie and Makaha which started becoming competitors. These days skateboarding were either freestyle or downhill slalom. Companies like Torger Johnson, Woody Woodward and Danny Berer were some of the well known skateboarders. But the types of skateboarding and the skateboarding tricks that they did were different from these days. Then learn how to do skateboard tricks? They adopted the freestyle skateboarding which was more like dancing ballet or similar ice skating with skateboarding.
In the year 1965, the popularity of skateboarding suddenly crashed. Many people assumed that skateboarding and learn how to do skateboard tricks was a fad which had died out. The skateboarding had closed and people started cresting their own skateboards. People still skated though the skateboarding parts were hard to find and the boards were made at home. They used clay wheels for the skateboards which were hard and also extremely dangerous to skate with. In 1972 Frank Nasworthy invented the urethane wheels for the skateboards which are similar to those that are used these days. He had started the company named Cadillac Wheels and this new invention created more interest amongst skateboarders and amongst the youth.
In the year 1975 during the spring season there was a great evolution that helped to boost the skateboarding sport of today. In California in Del Mar, there was a freestyle and slalom contest held at the Ocean Festival. It was that day that the Zephyr team showed to the world what skateboarding really is, which created a great awareness amongst the people for this great sport. They were able to show to the world how interesting skateboarding and the skateboarding tricks are by their low and smooth movement and from that day onwards it became a great sport rather than a hobby. Though the Zephyr team had many members it was the Tony Alva, Jay Adams and Stacy Peralta that became very famous.
In the year 1978 it was Alan Gelfand who was nicked named as Ollie invented a maneuver which helped to know how to do skateboard tricks to gain another revolutionary jump.
