Help making a display board less boring?
Any tips to make my science project display board a bit more exciting? My main topic is heat absorption and I use ice cubes in my project. Help!
aside from liberal usage of bold colors, leave plenty of white space between the different divisions of your board to make it visually appealing. The human eye reads from the top left corner, to the top right and down the right edge, finally ending at the bottom left corner. Keep that in mind as you design your layout.
Do not use more than two types of font, perhaps one for the headings, and another for the under text. Graphics should be simple enough to be self-explanatory, easy to comprehend and again, colorful. Several boards, each with half the space used, is better than two boards crammed full of print. Finally, fiknd someone who can do decent lettering. Nothing looks worse than faint pencil lines that someone scrawled on. Better to do all your lettering on a computer, using varying font and size type from WORD, then printing the text out and pasting it to the board. Don’t forget colorful arrows also so that people read things in the oirder you want them to.
