Combo Pitching
Who will win the cubs-dodgers series?
Ok, heres a list of some pros and cons of both teams:
Cubs- pros- balanced up and down the lineup, guys off the bench that can hit and field there positions well, great starting rotation, great combo of kerry wood and marmol in the 8th and 9th inning. cons- have many streaky hitters and have shown some weakness against good pitching, middle relief is shaky at times, and obviously 100 years of losing is on the cubs players shoulders
dodgers- great starting rotation and bullpen, they have guys that can steal bases when they get on, and they have the manny factor. cons- not alot of patient hitters outside of martin and manny ramirez, inconsistent offense, and they haven’t consistently played well on the road.
My prediction: cubs in 4; the pitching is essentially equal to each other, but offense gives the cubs the advantage.
My heart says the Dodgers but common sense says the Cubs. I’ll be rooting for Joe Torre.
