How to stop Windows from rattling in an apartment high-rise?
I live in a one bedroom apartment on 5th floor … the wind here can get pretty loud and ALL Windows rattle in my apartment like a madman. They are glass with metal armatures and horizontally sliding panels. Since I rent this apartment, I will not replace the windows, and I do not think if I said anything to my wonderful they may be. This is the point where My boyfriend and I woke in the middle of the night to loud noise of the windows in our bedroom! I barely slept last night: | Of Suggestions?
Would be able to take as a 3×5 card and shim (wedge) between the cracks that are rattling? Could prevent it from vibrating ….. i should see the windows to get some ideas. Sorry you did not sleep last night!
